Carbon Neutrality Potential of Textile Products Made from Plant-Derived Fibers

چکیده

During the growth of biomass, there are two carbon storage paths for plant-derived fibers. One path is to assimilate dioxide (CO2) from atmosphere through photosynthesis and temporarily store it in textile plants. Besides, can be captured stored soil. The capacity products made fibers such as cotton, flax, hemp, kenaf bamboo fiber, etc., a non-negligible part greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting reporting. However, lack systematic methods evaluate delayed emission effect In this study, times 100% hemp T-shirt, slipcover, fiber handicraft were evaluated by using soil organic method, dry weight biomass modeling method. results revealed that CO2 1 kg 1.833 kg. Meanwhile, effects 3 kinds 3.83%, 19.68%, 41.12% at different lifespans (i.e., 5, 25, or 50 years), which case landfill option may preferable perspective. suggest have positive impact on climate change due storage, improves with continued lifespan product. By quantifying fibers, beneficial understand potential reducing emissions, turn helps promote develop more environmentally friendly low-carbon production processes products.

FABRICATION OF CARBON FIBERS FROM COMMERCIAL WET SPIN POLYACRYLONITRILE FIBERS

Carbon fibers are fabricated from different materials such as special polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers, cellulose fibers and pitch. But PAN fibers are recognized as the most widely used precursor for the present-day manufacture of carbon fibers. The process of fabrication carbon fibers from special PAN fibers is composed of two steps including oxidative stabilization at low temperature and carbon...

Textile Pressure Sensor Made of Flexible Plastic Optical Fibers

In this paper we report the successful development of pressure sensitive textile prototypes based on flexible optical fibers technology. Our approach is based on thermoplastic silicone fibers, which can be integrated into woven textiles. As soon as pressure at a certain area of the textile is applied to these fibers they change their cross section reversibly, due to their elastomeric character,...

c92-8 Production and Characterization of Textile Fibers Made from Intrinsically Conductive Polymers

The development of a conductive fiber produced from an inherently conductive polymer (ICP) polyaniline (PANI) was accomplished during this the third year of our National Textile Center funding. This goal accomplished the stated mission of the research effort. The fiber produced has tensile properties approaching that of nylon 6 and a conductivity of around 350 S/cm. This achievement has led to ...

Transparent conductive graphene textile fibers

Transparent and flexible electrodes are widely used on a variety of substrates such as plastics and glass. Yet, to date, transparent electrodes on a textile substrate have not been explored. The exceptional electrical, mechanical and optical properties of monolayer graphene make it highly attractive as a transparent electrode for applications in wearable electronics. Here, we report the transfe...
